The
Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain was designed by Los Angles architect, Frank
O. Gehry. It was the first building to utilise computer software developed by
the French aerospace industry called CATIA. CATIA allowed designs to be modeled
using surfaces as opposed to polygons. The building is cladded in titanium,
stone and glass and was part of a project to regenerate the city of Bilbao.
